“It is only by drawing often, drawing everything, drawing incessantly, that one fine day you discover, to your surprise, that you have rendered something in its true character.” Camille Pissarro

In the second week of FVD course, we were introduced to Human Anatomy — a very tough skill to practice! I tried to get realistic human figures in my practice but ended up doing caricatures or character drawing. I went with the flow and tried out different characters which are given below.

I have tried human figures in cartoonish way, enhancing their unique features. These figures were drawn first by creating a skeleton and then further the details were given. The medium I used was the Water colors , Glass marker pencil and Black micron pens.

#1 Oldie

I have a picture of my Grandfather’s, he had a long swollen nose. I assumed him to be a short person as his sons are and so am I. He had a stern face!!

#2 Long Legs

Long legs

I wish I had Long legs! How I picture people with long legs standing and sitting. Medium I used here are Watercolors.

#3 Bulky

Bulky

‘Bulky’ was a prompt for Inktober, I thought of a Bulky man travelling in a train using a lot of space to sit. I used the ink medium and Glass pencil marker.

#4 Smokey Characters

I used these lines to make a sketchy character of people smoking.
